How are people selling more expensive items now that there is a 800,000
point limit?

Also by trading items of value that add up to the other items price.

"now that there is an 800,000 point limit"? It's been that way for more
than 2 years now. 😛

You agree a price and then put it in the auctions, not forgetting to
make it neofriends only or someone else might swoop in.

I bought a weapon for well over that amount just a few months ago. Can't
remember what it was though.

There must obviously be an explanation to that, but I have to agree with
JWD and say this limit has existed for quite sometime and certainly much
longer than a few months.

The limit has been there as long as I've used the post. My account is 37
months, and I started using the post for bigger items around 8-12 months
after I started on neopets.

Moo...you hit the nail on the head, as even auctions top off at (I
believe) 25 million NP. When folks that have Super Attack Peas and
other big-ticket items that sell for upwards of 100 million, they end
up using items such as the Sword of Skarsden as a "commodity value
holder" in trades. It is hard to imagine something worth 11 million
NP being used in bulk to obtain another item, but it happens.

It has been 800k for a while now, and before that it was 600k. I
personally think both of these numbers are way too small. Somewhere
between 2 and 5 million would be much more sensible and would render
the vast majority of auctions unnecessary.

I would also like to see the 5K limit on auction bids lifted as I just
cannot see how auctions can be rigged anymore.

The silly bid increment limit, you mean? I would second that motion
any day.

I do. It is OK if you buying something for a few nps, but if you are
after a weapon or paint brush perhaps then it is ridiculous.
