You should be able to play most modern and future games in the mid 40s at 1080p. If you are talking things like Overwatch you "should" be able to hit 60fps without a lot of problems. But if you want 60fps on high at 1080p you will need at least a 1060 for that. But for games like DOTA or LOL the 1050ti will do just fine at any setting.
