Hey guys, about to build a gaming pc for the first time. I've been using a low end computer for a while. I upgraded some parts and saved enough money to use those parts in a better setup. Any sort of feedback or recommendations are appreciated.

Already owned:
Planning to buy:
Performance goal: I'm not looking to play new games at ultra settings. The minimum performance I'm looking for is to: play fallout 4 mid-high settings on constant 60 fps, H1Z1 at least 60fps on high, GTA V constant 60 fps on high, etc.

I'm pretty sure that everything here will work together, but if I'm missing anything please let me know.

i would perhaps change up to a skylake cpu
maybe an i5 6500, and grab an H110 or B150 mobo, for roughly the same price as the parts there, this will then also give you access to DDR4 RAM...

For this next part i may be wrong, but you may struggle with 2GB of VRAM, the reccomended specs for Fallout 4 is 3-4GB of RAM, so it may be worth looking into a 970 or an R9 series GPU, i hope that is helpful

wouldn't the 500w be enough because of the micro atx mb? My gpu also uses lower power than other mid gpu's, I bought the 6.8in gtx 960.

That power supply is more than enough power for an i5 4460 and a GTX 960. It puts out 480 watts at full load, way more than enough for this rig which is unlikly to use more than 300 watts. Quality wise, it's not one of EVGA's better units, but it should be fine. Here's the Jonny Guru review:

I'm not a gaming expert, but it seems like Tfuture makes a good point. I would go Skylake for the same money. I assume that a better GPU was not in the budget?
