Been a while since I build my own computer. Just wanted to check and see if everything is compatable and works with everything else I bought! Loved this site for years but this is my first time posting so thanks in advance!

I wanted to get a motherboard that had both channels as 16x for Crossfire support in the future. Also I have no desire to overclock hence the 2500.

Do you have a storage drive? A HDD?

But i mean other than that i think it all works out. Wait for more input though i say.

Thanks for the feedback! No storage drive needed. Don't have much data and all else is in the cloud.

Buy a z68 than a p67 since it has Rapid Storage Technology (SSD Caching). Meaning faster boot times

Which Z68 do you mean? Can you give the full model number or a link to description?

Anyway, it would better if you just bought a i5-2500k than going for crossfire. The i5-2500k is so easy to OC that it can be done with a click of a mouse lol. Dual GPU setups aren't as reliable as single setup.

From what I am reading I don't think I need a Z68 board if I am running a SSD only system, no?

I think you will need it in the future though. There are some games that are more than 20gb of space right now. You will undoubtly buy a new HDD in the future.
