About to get a AMD Radeon R9 290

Hey guys I have a PCIE Express 2.0 motherboard and I'm looking to get an AMD Radeon R9 290. Will everything be compatible because I don't want to burn 400 dollars and nothing turns out to work.

You really need to provide some actual info, not just one thing about your motherboard. List all of your specs, then you will get a proper answer.
Since you don't seem to be sure of how graphics cards and motherboards are compatible with eachother, I'm assuming your cpu probably isn't that great so even if you did get an r9 290 it wouldn't perform that well due to being cpu bottlenecked. But I can't say for sure without any actual info.
