Greetings my fellow Gamers and Techs.

Recently i got back into playing FFXIV ARR (Final Fantasy XIV A real Reborn)
however i have encountered that my computer abruptly shuts down like someone pulled the plug from the wall. whenever I'm entering a cutscene or played for a couple of hours.

I'm entirely clueless where the issue comes from and what causes the shut down in the first place.

The current setup i use is as followed.

CPU: I7-6700K processor.
Video card: Geforce GTX970 (EVGA)
Motherboard: Asus Maximuss VIII Ranger Z170
Front base: Asus front Base.
Power supply unit: Tt Toughpower Gold 750W ATX23
RAM: D432GB 2400-15 Super Luce bk/rd K2 GEI
CPU cooler: Arctic Freezer Xtreme Rev.2

So far i have downloaded RealTemp to see if it was related to overheating or overload. but i cant tell if this is the issue.
the temperature while gaming is around 80~90 degrees and its load is fluctuating between 2~8%
i also downloaded the EVGA Precision XOC thingy thats on steam to see if increasing the fan speed would affect my problem or not. but with max fan speed it still crashed the computer.

Im going bald out of frustration and would love to have some support. thank you so far and i hope we can solve the problem together.

Solution
something is wrong with you're cooler, You are throttling, this is why your PC is shutting down, You need to fix the cooler, make sure its tight and the thermal paste is still good.

While running Prime 95.
Realtemp reports 100c

how long should i run prime95 for?

Alrighty gents, gone trough the repasting of the paste but even now it skyrockets to 100 within seconds.
even crashed the comp again when playing the same game.

Its is an Arctic Freezer Xtreme Rev.2
Its directly connected to the motherboard the lil pins that would say CPU fan.

i always suspected this part was a it iffy...

Thanks for the support Bishopi5.

I did just install a new CPU cooler.
an CooMas hyper 103 to be exact.

i ran realtemp and prime95 again which showed a max temperature of 80.

however in the same scenario that previously crashed my computer.
it still crashed even with this new cpu cooler.

Im not entirely comfortable with reinstalling my entire computer.
not that there is much on it mind you.

Is there no other way to find out what the cause might be?
