Be very cautious, though! People can mismarket their CPUs, and you might get scammed.

Something else to consider in such a situation is to look for a cheap refurb with the processor type you are looking for. In particular if you have a lesser CPU that would work in the model you find with the greater CPU it leaves you with an option to try and resale the (hopefully) working system.
