abt 2 gpu on a board

Solution
I suggest just running a single GTX 970 and ditch your old card.

It will outperform 7770 in Crossfire, consume less total power, and not have multi-gpu support issues.
When running multiple AMD graphics cards, what you are doing is running them in a Crossfire setup.

Ideally you should get another HD 7770.

Running multiple cards WILL NOT multiply your computer's performance in games. And not all games support Crossfire.

You need to verify that your motherboard supports AMD Crossfire, and that your PSU is sufficient to power your system with two graphics card. The second card will also require a PCIE power connector (look at your existing card if you don't know what that is)
