Hi guys, I have been using a USB Netgear wifi adapter for while and am tired of getting low speeds and random connection drops so I'm looking to upgrade today.

My home is fairly new late 90's early 2000's the powerlines in the home are strong. This being said I am curious if I should get a Netgear or TPlings AC Powerline adapter for a more stable connection that will allow me to get my paid for speeds 350down 25up OR if I should go with a ASUS 4×4 AC3100 PCIe Adapter (PCE-AC88).

Thank you guys ahead of time!

Being the cheapskate I am, I would first ask whether my WIFI problem is signal strength (maybe fixed by relocating router) or too much interference (fire up WIFI manager and see how many neighboring routers). After deciding nothing I can do about WIFI but to upgrade it in the hope the new box will over power whatever weakness (am in the school of taking the road less taken :)) I would try the powerline solution first, buying from somewhere I can return if unhappy. But YMMV.

For 350megabits down signal, you should really, really go with a regular Cat5e or Cat 6a.
WiFi or powerline will struggle to do justice to that connection.

Try a good powerline solution, but buy it from a place that has a good 30 day return policy. If it still sucks, send it back.
