AC1200 Wifi Adapter with AC1900 Router ?

Is pairing an AC1900 Router with an AC1200 Wifi Adapter make my ping higher even if they are both dual band?

The ping time is not related the data encoding. The ping on wireless is mostly a result of how much interference you get not so much the encoding used to put the data into the signal.

Wireless will negotiate to the speed the slowest equipment can use so it is all compatible

Medium Answer - WiFi is far more dependant on your particular environmental conditions.

Long answer - Please describe, in your own words, what ping is and how a router or WiFi adapter influences that.
