AC1900 Adapter - Asus vs TP-link?

Solution
Both are well respected vendors you see very few reports of device failures. Both are pretty good about releasing drivers...then again the driver comes from the chipset manufacture anyway. Really the only difference is the way the antenna are connected.
The advantage to the asus is you can put the antenna on the top of the case where it should get better signal.

As far as performance I suspect there will not be much difference. Both device uses bcm4360 wireless radio chips.

Be very careful about buying the 600mhz stuff on the 2.4g band. This is not standard so is not supported on all devices/routers. A number of the testing sites have gotten rather poor results using 600mhz. It seems it needs almost perfect signals and you have to be very close to the router for it to able to use the feature. 450m on 2.4g will likely run just as fast in most houses.

Ok, thank you for the advice.

I am running the netgear R7000 and am wanting to use the 5ghz band.

The way my case and desk are positioned the rear of my PC is pretty much the best place for the antennas.

As far as build quality and reliability both are on par with each other?
