accelerated video on Sony DV vs Premiere

Hi, I have done some video editing recently in Premiere.
So when it was all rendered, I got 1 DV AVI rendered movie, which played
perfectly on the PC.
However, when I created a new project in Premiere to export to tape,
I got 23 minutes on my Sony TRV25 DV vs 29 minutes in Premiere.
When viewing I found out that after say 20 minutes the video appeared to be
accelerated.
I have tried many times, several cassettes, even rerendered the main movie.
I also tried exporting to the camcorder from the Vegas Video
(with a different effect, it actually slowed down at places).

anybody has any ideas?

The number of frame per second may have somthing to do with it.
Pal is 25 fps and NTSC is 29 fps. On some programs you can choose what
frame rate you want to record at.
Check the settings in Premiere.

To be more specific. I run in WinXP. I have not done video editing in a
while, so I can't compare the consistency of my movie exporting

But basically, I create a project (NTSC DV Standart), insert a movie and
export. 20 minutes look good, then it starts to skip frame so it condenses 3
minutes into 1. And the video looks garbled.
I suspect camcorder, but can it be something else?

You need to visit the Adobe Premiere web site. There has been a patch for 6
and 6.5 (IIRC) related to fast video and Sony for over a year.

I followed the recommendations on the Adobe web site.
I also had to buy a DVD-writer to clear up some space
So I cleaned some space, defragmented and it looks like now everything's
fine!!!
I have not seen looked through the movie yet, but it least it shows the same
time as on the computer.
I beleive that was the problem.
