acces files from an old hdd

Hello, i want to acces some old files from an old hdd, that have an os installed on it! Can i just put it in my new pc and get the files out?

Yes, but depending on which folders those files are in, you may have to "take ownership" of them first to overcome the "access denied" security/privacy feature. You will certainly need to do this if the files or folders are inside a named user account folder:
