I have a ASUS RT-AC68U V3 setup in Access Mode connected to the main router, which is given by Verizon. I can't seem to access ASUS router main page. Router.asus.com only worked when at first I was setting it up in Access Mode. After that, the site does not load.
(i am noob at this)

Previously when I setup Asus routers as APs, I had to set the LAN IP address to a static IP prior to toggling to AP mode. Factory reset the router, set the LAN IP address then toggle to AP mode. Leave the router disconnected from the main router while doing this setup. Just direct connect a PC or laptop to a LAN port on the Asus.

toggling to AP mode.
So, I got to router main page and configured LAN IP to random number like 192.168.1.17. Then I went to Administration -> Operation Mode -> Access Point Mode. Then it pops up a page asking "Automatically IP" or "Manually Assign", I chose the latter. Then it asks the following "IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, DNS Server 1, DNS Server 2". I guess the first is the IP i just made, but what about the rest?!

Default gateway is the IP address of your main router, usually something like 192.168.1.1

DNS can be your main router's address, an address used by your ISP, or even Google's DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4)

Subnet deals with routing addresses in your home network. Keeping it very simple. Just use 255.255.255.0
