Access denied! help me!

Hello,
i used lock a folder program. but later it said that folder couldn't be unlocked. now i can't see folder at all. no matter if i uncheck boxes of show system folders and files... and when i use cmd it says access denied.. i am administrator.. i tried takeown command and icacls but still it says access is denied... hell i need this files can someone help me?

If you used a program to lock the folder, you'll need to use the same program to unlock. I'm not familiar with "lock a folder" so I can't tell you what to do. Do they have a help forum?

I suggest you contact the people who made the program which locked your files.

If its password protected, there are certain things you can do to get around it, but that's not to be spoke of here 😉

Redoing windows won't/shouldn't help. If it was that easy to get around what the program does it's not a good program. I would actually say it might make the problem worse if the code is stored in your current windows build somewhere. Remove windows and it might be lost forever.

I assume you've seen this thread? Are you using the newest version/3.9.1?

Edit: Seeing as you need to use a "master password", any chance its just doing something simple like XOR encryption? I know there are XOR "hackers" out there...

The program says its open source to modify, if you cant find a solution in time, i can have a look at the how it was written. I might be able to tell you what kind of encryption it is and or any loop holes if you lucky.

Did u move the D:\ to another PC or its still the same one?

What about removing the HDD, and puttting into an external caddy. Attach to a non-Windows PC, linux and see if you can access the files?

It should not work, as it is a program that supposed to secure the folder or the drive.
