Access Denied On HDD

Today my HDD randomly started playing up. At first the Recycle bin was being currupt anytime i would delete a file. Even if i deleted it from my SSD.

Now anytime i try to install or compress into a rar it continues to tell me "Access is denied"

I have tried changing the permissions on the drive multiple times. I can access the drives files and move them. Even copy files to and from. But as soon as i try installing or compressing it doesnt let me do anything.

I have also tried using windows error checking but no luck.

I have no idea why the administrator has an X on it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Create a new user with administrative credentials and see if the issue is present.

Maybe someone hacked your PC?

That's a bit of a long shot, so see if that suggestion above works.
