Access Is Denied (External HDD)

Hi guys,
I have a WD My Passport Ultra 1TB which is giving me a problem. The drive shows up when I plug it into my PC however instead of showing free space etc. under the name it simply shows "NTFS". When I try access the drive I get a window saying "Location is not available| G:\ is not accessible. | Access is denied."
I've tried on other ports and other pcs which give the same error. I cannot do a disk check.
The strange thing is that I can plug it into my TV and watch movies and see all of the folders.
Anybody have any fixes?

Thanks for suggestion. Unfortunately this was not the solution! Any other ideas?

The fix was adding a user named "Everyone" with full control in the security tab of the properties window. Feel silly because I dismissed this solution as unsuccessful earlier but realized that I must have done something wrong! Hope this helps someone.
