Access PC Via Playstation

I got everything I need (NICs and Router)

What I want to do is be able to watch movies from my PC on My TV. So what I had in mind was to connect my Playstation 2 to the Home network and then use this playstation to access my harddrive and select movie that I want to play. Playstation is hooked up to the TV set.

Is this even posible???

Not that I know of. Maybe with a hacked playstation running something like linux. If thats even possible. It would be easier to hook up the computer to the tv, unless its in another room then youd need a different setup.
