Hello,
I frequent a campsite that offers free wifi. I am able to get a strong connection to the network. Usually, once connected, I will get a redirect to an interstitial, or "Terms and Conditions" page where I accept, and can then go to the Internet. However, this redirect is no longer working for me. Campground rangers are spending their time rescuing people from themselves, so getting them to restart their router has not been successful. I'd like to make sure there is nothing else I can do on my side. Anyone seen anything like this, and also has the inclination to suggest next steps?
What I tried(FF, IE11, Chrome & Safari on my iPhone)
1) Turn off "https" requirement in browser
2) Turn off popup blockers
3) Full shutdown, then restart devices
4) Turn off local network radio, reboot, then turn radio back on
5) Disable firewall and A/V software
6) IPCONFIG (fast pingback, but default gateway is not provided)
7) Enter all IPs returned in IPCONFIG to URL field
8) Try to go to http:\\bing.com or any number of other unencrypted websites
I see that they have not set, or do not reveal, their default gateway. As such, I am not able to simply enter the gateway IP into my URL and go directly to their Terms & Conditions page.
Ran network diagnostics, details below.
Is there anything else I can try besides bribing a ranger with a 6-pack in order to get the router rebooted?
In the past I recall seeing some "Teredo" error, but that may have been unrelated. It is not currently presenting itself from what I can tell.
