Hey guys,

Just started playing a new game with my bud today, Pulsar: The Lost Colony.
Was going great, until we both started to get crashes repeatedly. Crash after crash, after crash!

I'm not super techy, but I took a look at my error log in the game files.

-------------------------------

That's not the whole crash log, since it's long. I only didn't include the "Stack" information in the log.

I'm not quite sure why it's crashing or what this means. This doesn't happen on any other program/game.

0xC address errors are generally caused by poor programming, either overshooting a loop or allocation/deallocation. Nothing you can really do about it other than to check if different program settings avoid the problematic paths. After that, send the dumps to the developer since only they will know what to do with it.
Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- Start by doing a clean install of that game that was having problem.
- Use a 3rd party software to uninstall that game like Revo which I normally use.
- Once removed re-install that game again.
- If it doesn't work try to also do a clean install of the graphics card driver.
- Please do refer to this article on how to do the clean install.

Hopefully this will work.

you can disable DEP just for a single application but i dont have time to explain and my english is just bad (somehow windows dont keep it and you have to fix every time boot the pc unless disabling DEP with that command). But your good enough to explain it to this guy and the rest of peoples with access violation 0xc0000005 problem so they will fix it cya!

1) Disabling NX is not a "fix"
2) 99% of the time it will not affect 0xC type errors, rather just hide them. Your programs will still crash/ not work properly, it's just that Windows won't force them to crash to save other software.
3) You can no longer disable DEP for single application (because that never made sense in the first place!)
4) Most systems with secure boot will prevent you from running without NX enabled, so if you try to turn it off it'll just fail

Again, DO NOT DISABLE NX BIT EVER
