Hello,

Q1 I have a windows 10 pro pc (pc requires windows password to login windows) and i stored data in these 6 default folders (auto created by windows in c drive): desktop, documents, downloads, music, pictures, videos. If my pc is faulty, can I access these 6 default folders data files by unplug this hard disk and connect this hard disk to another new pc then use the new pc to access these 6 default folders data?

Q2 I have a windows 10 pro pc (pc requires windows password to login windows) and i stored data in these 6 default folders (auto created by windows in c drive): desktop, documents, downloads, music, pictures, videos, and I moved the location of these 6 default folders (by following the links below) to my external hard disk in d drive. If my pc is faulty, can I access these 6 default folders data files by unplug my external hard disk and connect my external hard disk to another new pc then use the new pc to access these 6 default folders data?

I wonder if there will be any permission to access problem

Thanks

Do you have any other pc to use to try now as an external drive. They should be accessable as external folders as long as its not encrypted. You dont want to connect your current drive to another system as the boot c: drive. Can cause many issues with hardware conflicts, driver problems etc.

I only have 1 pc now, I am just planning in advance the easiest way to get back my data in the default folder if my pc is faulty.
