Accessing a Monitorless Computer

I have taken over the very loosely thrown together IT department for a new business and have been left with parts of a system.

I currently have a Working Desktop Unit sitting in my office that came from the "old offices" but there's no monitor with it nor is there one spare anywhere.

I have no idea what is on the computer or how to access it, ive tried remote desktop but its not set up for it.

Any ideas?

Can you take your own monitor from home just to see what's on that PC? Borrow one?
Pinch one off another workstation when nobody's looking?
I really don't see any way forward without a monitor.
