ACCESSING MY EXTERNAL SAMSUNG HARD DISC

I find it difficult to access backed up files on my New Samsung external hard disc. It saved it as mycomputername@mycomputer-PC and tells me 'the folder is empty' when I attempted to open the folder but I know it's not empty by the size. PLEASE, help!!!!

the files are hidden


click on tools,folder options,view

then tick "show hidden files,folders"

Don't think they are hidden. They were probably copied under a different user account. Right-click on the folder, go to the security tab and take ownership of the files.
