Hi,

I have two routers in my home; one of which is also a DSL Modem. I have my PC connected to the Modem/Router and another Router connected to it via in-line Ethernet cable. My Wireless printer for some reason can only connect to my other Wireless Router and not to the primary one. What I want is to access the wireless printer from my PC which is connected to the main router.

my Main router has ip address: 192.168.1.254
my secondary router which is connected to main router: 192.168.10.1
my secondary router has been assigned an ip address of 192.168.1.69 (which I can access from the network of main router)

my wireless printer connected to my secondary router has ip: 192.168.10.11

but I can not access the wireless printer with ip address of 192.168.10.11 from my main router's network. Is there a way to access it in such a situation?

Thanks.

Based on the IP addresses given, it looks like two different DHCP ranges, so presumably yeah there's two different DHCP servers running.

Only one router can operate as a router (it should be the modem/router combo). The other router must be configured in AP Mode, or Gateway mode. this will allow any device connecting to the AP to get its IP address from the same pool as other devices (and therefore be reachable).

Regarding your printer not connecting to wi-fi, have you checked to see if your printer has the latest firmware? I'd be interested to see if you have WPA/WPA2 (mixed) running on one of the routers, and WPA2 running on the other. Some older devices can't connect to WPA2+AES networks
