Question accidental format

I have been trying to get my new 2 tb HDD working but while i was trying to get it working in disk management but i clicked refresh drives and it restarted the PC and i hat the reboot and select proper boot device error but i fixed it and when i was in the PC i checked the local drive and saw all my stuff gone and cant find a working or cheap recovery service pls help

I had a usb with a installation of windows on it and i booted from that

and did a repair or what exact booted from that mean?

i dont exactly know what model of asus motherboard because the pc was given to me but i have a rtx 2060 6 gig ddr3 ram Intel core i5 and a 500 gig barracuda HDD
