While trying to delete vi.dat file in X:\Samsung drive\Samsung Software\SecretZone\ I accidentally deleted my smr file. Is there anything I can do to regain access to my secret zone?

Stuff from my external goes to recycle bin. And should do so
Perhaps on yours, yes. However, that does not have to be the case on all machines. The Recycle Bin can be configured such that the default is to NOT move things there but to delete straight away. Holding the <Shift> key while deleting will also bypass the Recycle Bin. We do not know how or why the OP deleted the file while bypassing the Recycle Bin but what's done is done. If nothing has been written to that drive since the file was deleted there's still a chance (getting slimmer by the second if the drive is still in use) that the file can be retrieved by using one of the undelete programs linked above. Just make certain that NOTHING gets written to that drive before you can start the recovery.

Bernardo, correct about the one-time use, however, like me, you can buy it, install it & wire it within explore context menu, and have it ready to go if/when a file or files disappear and need to be found.
