I recently stupidly accidentally deleted my USB host controller 1 driver and since then the USB ports on the front of my CyberpowerPC computer do not work. I tried calling CyberpowerPC and they sent me to the Gigabyte website to download the Intel Chipset and Inf files. After installing them I still have the exact same issue. I cannot roll back the computer through restore point before the date this happened either because there is not a restore point available for this time.

When I go into Device Manager there is an exclamation point under the 'Other Devices' section for "Intel(R) C600/X79 series chipset USB2 Enhanced Host Controller #1 - 1D26 saying "An error occurred during the installation of the device: The driver installation file for this device is missing a necessary entry. This may be because the INF was written for Windows 95 or later. Contact your hardware vendor."

Does anyone know how I can fix this issue and get my front case USB ports working again please?

So I should try deleting it in Device Manager to uninstall it? CyberpowerPC recommended I not try that. Is that what you mean?

Already tried that several times. It keeps giving me the message above about missing a necessary component to complete installaion.

yes try that and if it still has an error install the driver manually with the link i provided
