Hi

I suggest you read TOM's faq relating to new built PC's which dont display anything on the screen

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems

Without spare parts which such as PSU which are known to be working it is very difficult to diagnose these problems

The most likely part to break if kicked when in use is the hard disk.

Have you booted without hard disk connected ?

Check 24 pin ATX motherboard plug and ATX 12V cpu plug are properly pushed home.

Then start with simplification and building outside of case (breadboarding)

(You only need motherboard with CPU, 1 stick of ram, heatsink + fan (for CPU), ( optionally keyboard) and screen connected to motherboard (and known good PSU) to see if system posts)

Hi

If you have used a known good PSU (not the PSU in your case unless it has been tested in another PC)
and checked the on/off push switch is connected or bypassed the switch, then you have got down to diagnosing a faulty motherboard or cpu.

The motherboard is the most likely component to fail,
you have a choice:-

going to a professional to confirm diagnosis

or of getting a replacement motherboard (socket 775) (probably second hand)

or a new modern motherboard & cpu & ram

What operating system do you have & is it retail or OEM?
(do you still have the Windows CD or DVD? in case you still have to re install Windows)

If oem Windows you need to get another 945-gcm s2l motherboard or buy a new copy of Windows

Finally do you have home insurance with accidental damage cover?
which may cover cost of going to a professional to fix it for you
