accidentally put 8 pin cpu to 8 pin pcie

I've accidentally put 8 pin cpu to 8 pin vga card now pc not booting up i know my psu is gone any one think same happened to the gpu?
Mob has one 4pin connector
Gpu asus 960gtx
This is one of the foolish thing i have did so sad

More than likely you fried the graphics card to , but won't know till you can test it with another system or PSU.

Tomorrow ill test my mob i hope its ok
Ill have to wait till next weekend to test my gpu i think it also gone so sad
