Accidentally uninstalled display adapter

Hi,

I have an Acer Predator laptop running Windows 10, and I accidentally uninstalled the Display ADAPTER (not just the driver) from Device Manager.

Now my computer can't see the GTX 1080 Graphics Card, and as I have no Display Adapter I can't upload the latest Nvidia driver.

Have tried legacy hardware and loading the standard Microsoft adapter, but it won't load.

Any idea how I can reload a display adapter that will allow me to install the Nvidia drivers?

Regards,
Bob

Solution
Can you boot into safe mode?
If you can, go to device manager.
There should be a tab to scan for device changes.
That should find your adapter.

Unfortunately I did not have a restore point set before I uninstalled the adapter.

Thanks. I was hoping I wouldn't have to re-instal Windows, but I'll give it a try.
