I have this ram http://www.amazon.com/Crucial-Ballistix-DDR3-1600-BLT2K4G3D1608ET3LX0-BLT2C4G3D1608ET3LX0/dp/B00A14ZT8S that I bought back in February for my new build. This ram has a 1.35 voltage and amazon had a sell a couple days back and I bought this ram http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006YG9C2Q?&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00 thinking it was the same which has a 1.5 voltage.
forgot to add that I am running windows 8.1 and they will be slotted in a gigabyte GA-970-D3P

It might work but it will cause issues if it does. I dont think the motherboard can control ram voltages seperatly so it will try to force the same voltage on both sticks and im sure this will cause some instability if it even boots which i kind of doubt, you may want to send one of those kits back.

I agree, mixing sticks that are not "kitted" can be troublesome even if they are identical. Different latencies and speeds, more troublesome, different voltages, well that is the worst of the possibilities. No one really can tell you for sure if they will or won't work. They may work, they might not. They may seem to work, but cause errors or crashes under load. If you have an option to return them, I would exercise that option.
