accidentaly locked a computer

So my friend let me borrow his computer for a while because it was better than mine and he was going out of town.
But a while ago it turned off with a screensaver and I forgot his password (i remember all the letters but I forgot the 4 numbers at the end) i was wondering if you guys know any way to brute force the four numbers without stripping the password with some external utility.(that would really piss him off)
