i just got a new psu and as i was cutting off a zip tie i kinda snipp a tiny piece of mesh on the wire, will that damage anything on my psu or wires or its just mesh that covers over the wires on the psu?

Solution

Just the mesh? Not the actual wire insulation?
You're fine.

yes just mesh. its kind like you know on a shoelace where a thread is popping out cause something sharp pulled on it? thats what happened

+1

what if i scratched the wire or snipped it? (not saying i did)will you i still be ok?

If there is bare wire showing through the insulation, then there may be an issue.

you can fix a damaged wire. cut it all the way through, strip it twist it together, and use some electrical tape to cover the exposed copper. OR you can straight up replace the wire. it's not that hard to do. the parts are available all over the place.

it was just the mesh i scratched, now i cant even find the area i cut or scrachted, its as if nothing happened. i just have ocd about stuff like this i feel like the littlest thing will cause severe damage, especially when i buy brand new things

Just the mesh, you are fine. As said previously.
