I recently built a new PC and everything was working great for about 2 weeks. Recently my wifi network has been slowing down. I have checked my modem and router and Everything seems fine. Based on my tests with Ookla speed test I am getting about 5 Mbps however whenever I am running programs that are using my wifi network, task manager logs wireless rates jumping between about 0 kbps and 1.2 Mbps. I'm not sure if there is an issue with my wireless adapter card or windows 10 or anything. Just looking for some help for a beginner to desktops.

Motherboard: Asus LGA 1151 H170
CPU: intel I5-6600K 3.5 GHz
GPU: Nvidia 980
PSU: EVGA superNOVA 850 W
Memory: Corsair 16GB DDR4 3000MHz
Wireless adapter card : Asus PCE-N15

Let me know if more info is needed please. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Solution
Check your wireless adapter card settings:

Specifically match to your router whenever possible. No "auto" or "auto negotiate". Or if specifically set, then try "auto".

Speed & Duplex in particular.

Otherwise look for any environmental changes that may be interferring with wireless. Either something new or some threshold being reached and the bandwidth is lost.
