Account Type Change Password Lost

I recently purchased a password reset key featured in the Linus Tech Tips video below. It works fine an most computers, but when I tested it on my Windows 8 laptop, it removed the live account and replaced it with a seemingly identical local account. Now, it requires a different password and I can't get back in. I can't reset the new account password with the key, as it does not appear in the list of accounts. It was the only account on the computer. Thanks for any advice.

sorry, we don't support hacking, password cracking, ask linus as he seems to think it is acceptable.
