I've never been to Las Vegas but I seen
'Leaving Las Vegas' and 'Con-Air' so I know SA is pretty accurate.

I'm wondering how accurate the whole thing is?

Are the real casinos in a similar location?

Would I be able to drop into Las Vegas and be reasonably sure where
everything is?

I mean I know what "The Visage" casino is ("The Mirage").

But what about that onion shaped one?

Or what is Caligula suppose to be? The Bellagio?

What about the Four Dragons?

I'd like to see a side by side comparo!

ironically, Las Venturas is closer to the real thing than Con Air is. If
anyone who knows Vegas relatively well watches the end of that movie, its
clear they have the geography all wrong, downtown is all mixed with the
south side.

Las Venturas is pretty close. Its on a smaller scale, but most of the
casinos are in the correct place, Excalibur and the Luxor being the first
two you come across etc.

Kinda the wrong way around though (Luxor is on the edge of town, not
Excalibur). New York New York doesn't seem to be featured, nor the
Venetian either. Treasure Island is good though!

It'd have been funny to see the Bellagio fountains and the Fremont
Street lights though, an opportunity passed up it seems.

Oh, and going to Vegas is something you *have* to do. The real one I
mean. But don't start jacking cars and shooting the place up!

I always wondered what that structure was.
