Hello, just wantend to ask if i can use that Card ( Gigabyte gtx 960 2xOC 4gb ) in my acer 3985. Change the power supply to 730 thermaltake smart. i have 16gb onboard an as far as i know a i5 3950. new harddrive, cause the 1gb stopped working after 2 years. in fact i like that atxmini design, don t want to have a wardrobe Standing around 🙂. i have choosen the 181mm Version of the Card.. the Long one seems not to fit. would be nice, if there are some guys outside, who could help me out . sorry for bad english, not my first language . thanks a lot in advance, and have a nice time.

If this is your Acer 3985: http://icdn2.digitaltrends.com/image/acer-aspire-m3970-review-side-cover-open-850x793.jpg?ver=2
...I don't see any problem. And is this the card you mean? http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5400#ov
If so, it should have plenty of room passing just below the drive cage. And the drive cage is removable if necessary. You'd have to locate the HDD in the upper bay.

But a 750W PSU is overkill for the GTX 960. You'll have plenty of headroom and enough PSU for future card replacement of something faster.

Thanks a lot for the efforts and the answer. Ok, i buy now the PSU for future Options.. the Card i hve Chosen is the short Version with 2 fans . so space should be sufficant. thinking about a new Motherboard too... but not that easy to find a nice asus or Gigabyte miro atx with 1155 socket... any ideas ?

The first thing you will want to do if you think you might want to change boards, is to see what kind of wiring connectors Acer used from the front panel of the case. Sometimes they use proprietary connectors that don't match up with retail boards' FP headers.
