acer 4741z Ram upgrade fail...please help

Here is the current detail of my Notebook memory by CPU-Z

And I tried to replace one of the 1Gb module with 4gb Corsair value select model no (CMO4GX3M1A1333C9).

But the laptop wont start beyond bios logo and if I do start up repair the blue screen error comes.
I have tried every combination like using different slots for new ram or using only new ram.

does your computer boot normally with the old ram? if it does, then it could be that the new ram is faulty.

if you can, get a copy of memtest and test the new ram.

Does the laptop support 4GB sticks, is this a supported stick....laptops are very picky about the DRAM they take and aren't like a desktop where you can adjust timings and voltages....the stick is prob good but isn't compatible

the laptop is upgradable to 8gb of ram, BUT it says it uses 1066Mhz ram. so that may be the problem.
