hello to everybody!!
I am about to buy the TFT LCD ACER AL1952, but before making that hard decision I d love to read your comments or opinions about that monitor. I also consider two others options, ACER AL1916 As and 1917 As, but in this post I just will speak about AL1952.
Since i think you cant find this model in the states, but in Europe (by the way, I wonder why) i will give you the Technical specifications in case you dont know it:
Resolution
1280 x 1024
Panel Technology
PVA Technology
Brightness
300 cd/m2
Color
16.7M (8 bit)
Pixel Pitch
0.294mm
Contrast Ratio
1300:1
Response Rate
8ms
Horizontal Frequency
30~80KHZ
Vertical Frequency
56~75HZ
Horizontal Viewing Angle
178°
Vertical Viewing Angle
178°
Video Signal
Analog (D-sub) and Digital DVI-D,
Video Mode Support
VGA, SVGA, XGA, SXGA, VESA, NEC and Apple
i am going to use it for programming and designing in macromedia flash professionally, pictures as a hobby, and movies for fun.
I have many doubts, and would like to hear any opinion you have about it, but I specially hesitate if DVI is such a good investment, and if 1000:1 contrast is something I need, specially taking into account that the bright is no more than 300.
Something else... someone told me today that the true bright system, used for instance by Sony, gives you much bigger colours quality...I have no idea about that system, nor how is it named by other companies.
Thanks to everyone
