Acer Aspire 4930G ram capacity

I have an Acer Aspire 4930G. It has 4gb ram loaded but windows reports only 3gb useable. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit. Can the Windows 7 installed be upgraded to 64bit to see if that solves it? Thank you.

Yes sure it will. One thing, is it showing 3.8gb ? Then it is okay since your remaining ram is reserved for system devices, the more devices you have the higher the reserved ram portion.

Hi , if I right click on my computer it shows 3.0gb useable

Then installing 64 bit windows is the only option.
