My brother just bought this Acer laptop not long ago, on the 5th, and it's been working pretty well. System specs are:
Windows Vista Home Premium
2 gigs ram
AMD Turion x2 (can't remember specific model)
Radeon mobility xpress x1100
Today earlier on he closed the lid on his computer (just turning the screen off) while it was plugged in and left it on the usual wooden chair that he puts it on beside his bed. Then a few hours later he came back and his computer wasn't on. He tried to turn it on and it would turn on for a second or two, the fans spin up and the lights turn on, and then it would just turn off again. We unplugged it, and took out the battery for a minute, and then tried it again, but same thing.
I googled the problem first, so I don't look like a total dumbass, but I couldn't find anything good. It's possible that this is a mobo problem (hence me putting it in the mobo section) because a friend of mine had something somewhat similar, but his was an iBook. Any ideas?
