I want to do the recover to factory condition option on my Acer Aspire 5250, but I need to know first if it will be necessary to enter my Windows product key once the system is restored. The sticker on the bottom of my computer is far too faded to read, so I don't know what my product key is. Do I need to enter it during the setup following a restore to factory condition? Thank you.

no....it is most likely an OEM version of Windows which willl het automatically activated after the restore

Some factory Restore actually remove the entire OS, I"d be a bit wary about doing a Factiory Restore.
It might be better to just ask in the forum about your ongoing issues, it could just be that your Notebook just needs a driver update.

The original Acer came with "McAfee® Internet Security Suite Trial" pre-loaded, it is probably out of its trial date, trial software are usually troublesome, best to uninstall it.
