I have an Acer Aspire 5250, ever since I rented it the webcam didn't work that's my only problem. I have been looking for solutions for a couple months now, some people have said I need to enable my webcam, but in the control panel there isn't an option. Others have said, I need to install a camera driver, but I couldn't find one. So here I am asking you. Basically I go on Skype, Crystal eye, any other webcam site. Doesn't work. Says webcam not detected, yet I have a built in camera. So any suggestions, links to camera drivers, really anything would help. Thank you.

The correct provider of drivers for Acer laptops is, wait for it, Acer of course! Go to their support website: http://www.acer.co.uk/ac/en/GB/content/drivers

But first have a look in Device Manager.
If there is no webcam listed there (under "Imaging Devices"), and no "missing driver" question marks, it typically means that the webcam itself is physically faulty or broken, in which case you can buy an external one.
