Acer aspire 5515 laptop

Hello,my neighbor has an acer aspire 5515 with windows vista. When the windows update happened today her laptop stopped working. Now when you load it it will start up but got to updated 3 of 3 and then shut off again. We can't get into anything. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue

When you say "stopped working" does the laptop actually power down during the update? I have an Acer Aspire 8920 that did this and I had to have the HDD replaced.

You need to ask your brother - the Administrator password cannot be removed unless you reinstall Windows. Be very careful of any so-called cracking or hacking software which might be recommended here or anywhere else.
