Acer aspire 5532-f/6 problem

On my acer aspire5532 the screen goes from fine to dark. If you use hold down the Fn key and hit f/6 a bunch of times you can get the screen twilight up perfectly but it won't stay long till it goes to a dark screen. Would you say the ribbon cable is bad or the keyboard?

I would guess its going into power saving on you.
