Hi guys, I'm having a problem when booting from a bootable USB stick. Well, I actually can't. I have the BIOS settings set to boot first from my Gigastone USB stick (Drive H: ) and then from the HD. Problem is, when it's plugged in to H:, I get the message "Please disconnect any removable storage devices. Press any key to restart" (or something along those lines.) Can someone please help me find a solution? Also, the USB drive is bootable with the Android-x86 Project. I used ISO to USB to burn the ISO.

Solution
The ISO doesn't make the USB Bootable, the hardware first (if the SRAM is fast enough) determines if it is bootable, then secondly the way you format / set it as a boot device. http://rufus.akeo.ie/ is the easiest way (simple search brought it up https://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome-psyapi2&ion=1&espv=2&es_th=1&ie=UTF-8&q=how%20to%20create%20a%20bootable%20usb%20drive), but if the ISO isn't ready then you need to get a bootable ISO. Go back to the website and you will have to do some research, far as I know thy may PURPOSEFULLY require only boot of installed drives.

I have already installed Android x86 on my desktop computer and it works flawlessly. I just want to be able to run it on a USB as to not take up space on my laptop s HD.

I suppose I'll just install it as a dual boot on the HD with a 16GB partition. Thanks anyway. I would really like to get this done on the USB. How can I format it as boo table if the ISO isn't already?
