Acer Aspire 5742

I want to use my cable system at times but cannot seem to be able to turn off my wireless function an my Acer Aspire 5742. I have pressed F3 but with no effect. I do not want to disable it pemanently as I do use the wireless function so how can I turn it off and on easily?
Any advice would be welcome.

You can enable and disable it in the device manager
