Hello,

I have an Acer Aspire 9810, its been running fine, I've been running Win7 pro running ok (from Vista Home Premiun) for some reason Icannot enter "setup" or "safe Boot2 when I press either F2 or F8; I have re-installed Vista, as the system allows mre to do that, but soon afterwards have problems with the vidie freezing and then bwing told that it was repaired (NVidia Go 7600 Series - 256 Mb Card)

Is there a simple way to reset the cmos without going into the machine?

Many thanks,

Andy

Don't think so. Clear the motherboards CMOS. Be sure to unplug the computer's power cable from the computer, move the CMOS jumper to the "clear" position or remove the battery for a few minutes. Reposition the CMOS jumper and power up the system.
