Hi everyone,
I am looking to purchase a budget gaming laptop and the one that seems the best for the buck is Acer Aspire AS5560G-7809 NX.RURAA.001 Notebook PC $400 (
) - AMD Quad-Core A6-3420M 1.5GHz, 4GB DDR3, 320GB HDD, DVDRW, AMD Radeon HD 7670M, 15.6" Display, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, Black.
I am looking to OC the processor and upgrade the memory to “G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Laptop Memory Model F3-10600CL9D-8GBSQ” from NewEgg for $41.50 and upgrade the hard drive to an SSD.
The question that concerns me is if it is worth upgrading to an SSD for this laptop? I am not sure if this laptop supports SATA 6Gb/s or SATA 3Gb/s or anything. I tried looking this information from Acer and up online and in forums but found no information in this area. Acer chat support provided me with this link for specification but they had no answer in reference to SATA and SSD support:
Does Acer Aspire AS5560G-7809 support SSD if so does it support SATA III? Thanks everyone for any information in this area.
