I just got around to getting the kids their external monitors and have come to realize I cannot wake the laptop with either the USB mouse or keyboard. I have disabled hibernation, allow the mouse and keyboard to wake under power management...still no fix. I have read a few Acer posts on their site with others frustrated with this...just curious if anyone knows a workaround.

If I select sleep under the windows tab, once asleep, I can hit a key and hear the CD ROM drive spin up, but nothing else.
Thanks

I don't think there will be any way to wake, without opening the lid.
Probably the best route, assuming it's always powered, would be to stop if from sleeping full-stop. (power opens>"what happens when I close the lid">do nothing).

External keyboards/mice should be capable of waking with the lid closed, but Acer are not the only ones with problems implementing.
